Catwalk (on fish)

In a park in Voula after our walk on the cape of Glyfada.

I really enjoyed watching this sweet cat walking around on top of the fish drawings in this park in Voula!

Old entrance door

I thought this entrance door, in an old apartment building in the center of Athens, was looking so nice when I was leaving.
With the lights from the street in the dark evening showing through .

The Greek flag!

The Greek flag and daytime moon photographed at "Kremasmenos Lagos" in Voula, Attica, on Sunday.

The flag of Greece is also called "sky blue-white" or just "Blue-white". The colours most probably comes from the blue sky and the white waves, or at least so it is commonly believed.

Old house with Trumpet Vine

An old house (unfortunately abandoned) here in Glyfada with a beautiful bush of Campsis radicans - Trumpet creeper or Trumpet vine.

I love this beautiful plant with its colourful, orange trumpet-like flowers. Trumpet vine is common as hedge here, most often together with a fence.

Have a nice day!

Tiny blue flower - Veronica Persica

So small you may not notice it! This wild flower with 4 blue petals is also called Persian speedwell, Large field speedwell, Bird's eye and Winter speedwell except for its latin name Veronica persica.

Dear child has many names!

A walk on the cape of Glyfada

My friend Filio and I took a walk on the cape of Glyfada (Attica) the coldest day this winter so far, +2°. It was snowing a lot in most parts of Greece and we had some snow flakes in Glyfada as well.

Unfortunately this beautiful cape is more or less closed to the public, so it's beauty is kind of unknown...!

Swedish cinnamon rolls... not exactly Greek, but...

...at least these ones are made in Greece.

Care for a cup of coffee and a "kanelbulle"...?!

Have a great day!

House ruins at Monastiraki

One can't stop wondering how it's possible to be abandoned houses in such a crowded area. Who used to live here once upon a time... and what happened...

Have a nice evening!

"Profiti Ilia" - small, cute church on Mount Hymettus in Glyfada

The day after Christmas we took a walk to this beautiful place at Mount Hymettus, Glyfada.

Fantastic views from up there! (The picture in the banner of the blog is also from there.)

"If you came all the way up here God will be good with you"...   :)

Have a nice day!

New URL to my photo blog and new blog list!

Some days ago (or can it be a week?!) I decided to purchase a domain name for this blog. The url is no longer www.greeceinmyheartphotoblog.blogspot.com, but instead www.greeceinmyheart.com. I'm very happy for this as the other was so long.

Greeceinmyheart.blogspot.com was already taken when I started this blog by the way and it wasn't available now either. Alexandra in Trondheim, Norway has that blog address, but she has never written anything there.

Anyway, now I'm very happy for my new URL! :)

Some of my gadgets disappeared though, including my blog list. I'm trying to restore it now. If you have my blog on your blog list (or if you decide to put it now ;)), just let me know and I'll put yours!

Have a beautiful day!

Runaway priest

I don't know why, but I really like this picture taken outside the church in the center of Glyfada, Agios Constantinos and Agia Elenis (The church of Saint Constantine and Saint Helena), at a rainy Theophany yesterday.

Let's hope for a warm and sunny day today!

Rustling autumn leaves in the "winter" of Athens...

Love the colours of autumn leaves... I like leaves in general actually!

The feeling when you are walking on rustling autumn leaves is wonderful, don't you think?

Mountain lake Langas, Saltoluokta

These pictures were taken (at midnight!) in june, 2012, when I was invited to a very special and different Swedish wedding in Saltoluokta in the north of Sweden!

It was incredible beautiful up there... very peaceful. I'm from the north of Sweden myself (living in Greece since 1986), from Umeå - 700 km north of Stockholm, but I've never been so far up north before.

Happy New Year!
Very best wishes for a wonderful year, 2013!
